PARTICIPATION MODALITIES

Full Paper

Paper with recommended length of 8 pages in Springer format that will be published in the conference proceedings and it may be eligible for the best paper award. Authors of selected papers will have the possibility to submit an enhanced version of their work to the Springer journal Forschung im Ingenieurwesen / Engineering Research in a dedicated special issue. The work will be presented with a 15-min talk.

Extended Abstract

The extended abstract is a document of a maximum of 2 pages. Authors can present their work either through a 15 min talk (as in a full paper presentation) or via a poster presentation. The poster will be visible to attendees throughout the conference In both scenarios, the work will be distributed to conference participants but not be included in the proceedings.

Attendee

It is possible to participate as an audience member in the conference by having the opportunity to interact with the authors and exhibitors.

If you do not want your paper to be included in the Springer Proceedings, please state it clearly in the specific box that you will find in the submission page.

PAPER INSTRUCTIONS AND TEMPLATE

  • All submissions must follow the Springer Template. Papers with another formatting will be rejected without review.
  • The papers should be written in English.
  • The recommended length of the paper is 8 (eight) pages, including all figures, tables, and references.
  • All submissions will undergo a single-blind peer review process and will be evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to the conference, contributions, and readability.
  • The paper should contain the following elements: Introduction, Literature Review, Research Methodology/Question, Main Contribution and Results, Conclusions, Acknowledgment (if necessary), References.
  • Use Title Case for the paper title, i.e. capitalizing all main words.
  • The number of co-authors should not exceed six persons.
  • Papers will be accepted on the understanding that the original submitted manuscript has not been copyrighted, published, or accepted for presentation at any other conference.​
  • To grant publication, upon acceptance of a paper,  at least one of the authors must complete the event registration and present the paper.
