DOMINIK MATT

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dominik Matt holds the Chair for Production Systems and Technologies and heads the research department “Industrial Engineering & Automation (IEA)” at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Moreover, Prof. Matt is the Director of the Fraunhofer Italia Research Center in Bolzano. He has authored about 300 scientific and technical papers and is listed among the most cited professors as well as among the 2% top scientists for long career-impact in their specific fields (elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com, 08/2021). Prof. Matt is member of numerous national and international scientific organizations and committees. Since 2020 Prof. Matt is also member of the renowned German National Academy of Science and Engineering (www.acatech.de).

ERWIN RAUCH

Erwin Rauch received his B.Sc. in Logistics and Production Engineering from the Free University in Bolzano (Italy). He also holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Munich (TUM) and a M.Sc. in Business Administration from the TUM Business School. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart with summa cum laude. Currently he is an Assistant Professor for Manufacturing Technology and Systems at the Free University of Bolzano. In addition he is the Head of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory for Industry 4.0. He is also the author of over 150 scientific contributions and an expert/member of various associations and organisations (Associate Member EuroScience, Expert Group World Manufacturing Forum, EPIEM Steering Board).

PATRICK DALLASEGA

Patrick Dallasega is an Assistant Professor of Project Management and Factory and Plant Planning at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Free University of Bolzano (Italy). He studied at the Free University of Bolzano (Italy), at the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and got his PhD at the University of Stuttgart (Germany). He was Visiting Scholar at the Excellence Center in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Chiang Mai University (Thailand) and at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts (USA). His main research interests are in, supply chain management, Industry 4.0, lean construction, lean manufacturing and production planning and control in MTO and ETO enterprises.

RENATO VIDONI

Renato Vidoni, Full Professor, received his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering (major: Automation) from the University of Udine, Italy, in 2005. In 2009, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Information Engineering from the University of Udine, Italy. Currently, he is Full Professor in Applied Mechanics, mechatronics and robotics at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Free University of Bolzano. His research activity is in the mechatronic and robotics field. In particular, his research interests include high-performance (energy, vibration, safety, collaborative) automatic machines with rigid and flexible links; optimal motion planning of industrial (collaborative) robotic systems; from nature / to nature robotic and mechatronic systems.
