Life and Efficiency of Rolling Bearings
ABSTRACT
Sustainability is the defining issue of our time. Rolling bearings are used wherever relative motion takes place under high loads and are very efficient nowadays. Due to the high quantities of rolling bearings, they make a non-negligible contribution to global CO2 emissions despite their high efficiency. In this session, topics will be highlighted: how to better calculate or reduce the friction of bearings; how bearing damage can be better predicted through better calculation approaches and thus finally how power density can be increased.
